Montenotte is one of the older and more exclusive areas of Cork and commands wonderful views out over the city centre and port from its elevated location.

From the city centre:
- Proceed to the traffic lights at end of McCurtain Street.
- At the lights turn left onto Summer Hill North.
- At next main junction (St. Lukes Cross) turn right.
The Montenotte Hotel is located 300 metres along this road on right hand side and has free parking.
